Yesterday saw Shallal Studio artists and most of Shallal Dance Theatre enjoying a wonderful workshop with Paper Cinema thanks to Jo Mayes, Loop to Loop project at St Ives library. Jo Lumber who had seen their performance at The Tolmen Centre some time ago was so pleased and excited to be doing it.
The rest of us had no preconceptions but as soon as they showed us a section of their work we were hooked, it appealed to everyone. Most of us know Shadow puppetry, but the fun of scale and movement Paper Cinema make available and the fantastic musical accompaniment, made a captivating three way experience.
We loved it and hope to have the opportunity to learn from them again in the future.
