October Residency
Our exciting October residency is filling fast, with just a few more days to fill in the calender, so far we have: Shallal Studio Artists - themes and dates to be confirmed Melanie Young - "4 days where I will create new work - large drawings to share at the end ...... working on a large scale could be exciting as it's something that I haven't had the opportunity to do for about 12 years" http://melanieyoungart.wordpress.com/ Jo Lumber - writer, funded by Falmouth Art Gallery 3 days + Jo normally works to specific projects, so this opportunity will allow her to explore new ideas, creating collaborations and community involvement Anna and Annis - exploring studio photography http://rust51.blogspot.co.uk/ Laura Menzies - supporting Shallal Studio artists and possibly taking time for new ideas www.lauramenzies.co.uk The Wheeler family - giving Glen and Arron time and space to develop installations involving sculpture and projection We are talking with Eddie Callis and Stuart Blackmore - see event below - and a few other friends and then we will publish our timetable. Some of the artists residencies will include invitations to view and others will stay in process. We welcome this fantastic opportunity and are grateful to Back Lane West for welcoming us, believing in us and making this partnership possible. http://backlanewest.org/ Event There are overlaps in the world of artists, especially in Cornwall and Minnie, David, Eddie, Paul, and Ley all currently attend Falmouth based Shallal groups, Stuart and Jacqui have also worked with us in the past! and we would go a long way to watch Kyle! kylecoleman.co.uk |
