Anna and Annis recently sold another painting "The Other One"that makes 2 now from the Studio challenge exhibition. Joseph has also sold his painting - on far left.
It reminded me a little of Bob Bourne's paintings in it's flat considered colours,

We used to live near him in Newlyn.
I'm getting nostalgic now and Antony Frost http://www.opus-art.com/the-artists/artist/anthony-frost
used to have a studio in a garden across the road, which was then used by Jeremy le Grice.
Jeremy was a large ebullient character http://www.westernmorningnews.co.uk/Larger-life-painter-Cornwall-sea/story-16710686-detail/story.html
and once enthusiastically encouraged me to carry my latest baby down to see his work before it was sent off to to an exhibition. I wasn't feeling very pro art at the time and wondering what was the point, I walked in and was confronted by a breathtaking painting. All deep worked blues with tiny marks for the harbour mouth and a boat leaving.
It captured the extraordinary poignancy when the large fishing boats leave, they would sound their horn as they left the harbour mouth and suddenly you would think 'this is for their loved ones and they may not return.'
On the way to Mousehole only a mile away we would pass the Penlee Lifeboat Station memorial.
